Southwest
Michigan is comprised of Allegan County, Berrien County, Cass
County, and Van Buren County. The area is known for abundant sandy
beaches along the shores of Lake Michigan, with communities spanning the
coast from Harbor Country (New Buffalo, Village of Grand Beach, Union
Pier, Lakeside, Sawyer), to Bridgman (Weko Dunes, Warren Dunes),
Stevensville, St. Joseph (Silver Beach, Lions Park Beach, Tiscornia
Beach), Benton Harbor (Rocky Gap Beach, Jean Klock Beach), Coloma (Hagar
Shores Beach), Covert, South Haven, Casco, Ganges, Glenn, Douglas, and
Saugatuck.
It also has a wonderful variety of inland lakes, such
as Paw Paw Lake and Little Paw Paw Lake (in Coloma and Watervliet);
Sister Lakes (in Dowagiac, including Magician Lake, Indian Lake, Crooked
Lake, Round Lake, and Dewey Lake).
